UAE-based real estate developer Danube Group has said it will not lay off employees and will continue to pay salaries on time, despite the ongoing geopolitical uncertainty.
Taking to Instagram, Danube Group Founder and Chairman Rizwan Sajan said the company would stand by its workforce during the current challenging period.
“I’ve faced many challenging situations in the past – from the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait to the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these, we have always bounced back stronger, and I’m confident we will do so again,” Sajan said.
He added: “During the pandemic, I had committed to not letting go of any employees, and I stood by that promise. Similarly, there will be no layoffs at Danube Group this time as well.”
Sajan said the company remains committed to supporting its more than 6,000 employees. “Our 6000+ employees are not just our workforce – they are our family. They helped build Danube Group into what it is today. In times like these, we stand by them with the same commitment,” he said.
“All salaries will be paid on time, and we remain dedicated to serving our clients and customers,” he added.
Over the years, Danube Group has built a diversified and agile business spanning building materials, real estate and home solutions.
Danube Properties a few days ago unveiled its first large-scale integrated community, Greenz by Danube, featuring premium townhouses and villas starting from Dh3.5 million, along with its 1% monthly payment plan.
Danube Group said it continues to prioritise execution, ensuring timely project delivery and honouring commitments as it navigates the current environment.
The Dubai-headquartered developer has also signed a land purchase agreement with AD Ports Group valued at an estimated Dh840 million for a major residential and mixed-use development within KEZAD Abu Dhabi’s Town Centre.
The project spans approximately 1 million square metres within the broader 16 square kilometre development.
