Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has joined the global SWIFT network after setting up its SWIFT Business Identifier Code (BIC), ADSEAEADXXX, the exchange said in a statement.
ADX said the activation of SWIFT connectivity is part of the continued development of its post-trade infrastructure and is aimed at strengthening its links with international market participants.
Through the SWIFT network, ADX will be able to facilitate secure, standardised and internationally recognised financial messaging with custodians, central securities depositories, international central securities depositories and other market participants globally.
The exchange said the move would enable more efficient cross-border interactions and support international investors seeking access to the UAE’s capital markets. It is also expected to provide a platform for future market infrastructure initiatives and improve operational efficiency, interoperability and global market accessibility.
The addition of ADX to the SWIFT network is in line with the exchange’s strategy to expand its international reach and deepen engagement with global institutions, while supporting Abu Dhabi’s position as an international financial centre, the statement said.
