ADNOC and Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) have signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) to evaluate the development of a shared service model to drive productivity and innovation through AI and digital technology.
As part of the agreement, the entities will explore opportunities to collaborate across key areas such as urban planning, infrastructure and standardisation of systems, procedures, and business support services.
Additionally, ADNOC and DMT will exchange knowledge in various strategic areas, including in harnessing AI and advanced technologies, talent empowerment, and corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at creating opportunities for people and local communities to thrive.
The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC Group, and His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport. The signatories were His Excellency Dr Saif Al Nasseri, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, and Saif Al Falahi, Executive Vice President, ADNOC Group Business Support & Special Tasks.
His Excellency Dr Saif Al Nasri said: “We are delighted to collaborate with ADNOC, sharing expertise to activate the shared services model and support development plans across urban planning, infrastructure, and enhancing the overall appearance of the emirate. The agreement builds on ADNOC’s longstanding strategic partnership with the DMT in establishing community service centres. Together, the partners aim to develop plans to enhance service delivery, initiate an expert exchange programme for various fields, and conduct programmes and workshops to share best practices.
Saif Al Falahi said: “Abu Dhabi’s wellbeing is at the heart of ADNOC. This strategic agreement between ADNOC and the Department of Municipalities and Transport supports our commitment to develop systems and standards to streamline processes for the critical projects our people need.
