UAE skies are ready to light up with fireworks, laser and drone displays on Tuesday night as the country rings in the New Year 2025. Special extravagant shows have been announced by emirates across the country to enthrall both residents and tourists who fly in specially for the iconic New Year's Eve shows every year.
While Dubai has announced more than 45 fireworks shows at 36 strategic locations throughout New Year's Eve, Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the world's 'largest' New Year celebrations at the popular Sheikh Zayed Festival - attempting to break six Guinness World Records with grand fireworks and drone shows. The UAE Capital will have more fireworks displays across the emirate. (see locations list here)
However, recently, the emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain also announced special fireworks shows to ring in 2025.
The Department of Tourism and Archaeology is preparing to launch events featuring extraordinary fireworks shows. These events will take place on Tuesday, December 31 2024, at 12:00 midnight at AlKhor Waterfront, a statement posted on social media said.
The department emphasised its commitment to organising the event in accordance with the highest safety standards, in collaboration with relevant authorities, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The department also welcomes all visitors to enjoy a variety of entertainment and musical activities, in addition to dedicated areas offering a wide range of food options. The events will conclude with a fireworks shows that will light up the sky at midnight.

Sharjah
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) will host a grand 25-minute fireworks spectacle across three premiere destinations: Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach.
Taking place on December 31, 2024, starting from 8:00 PM, this year’s New Year Celebration promises to be Sharjah’s most dazzling event, a statement issued said.
Ras Al Khaimah
Meanwhile, the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah has launched a larger-than-life display across the waterfront between Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village in a spectacular farewell to 2024.
The Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve fireworks show will feature dazzling lights show with cutting-edge laser drone technology.
Stretching along the waterfront between Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village, the display is a jaw-dropping event.
Additionally, there will be a dazzling fireworks display in the city center, opposite Julphar Towers, on December 31 at 8 PM. The city center fireworks can be viewed from Manar Mall and the Ras Al Khaimah Corniche area.
