LAMEES OBEIDAT (ABU DHABI)

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday's trading session at 9209.48 points and a 0.47 percent decline.

A total of 73 companies were involved in the trading session. Share prices of 23 companies went up, 43 went down and seven remained unchanged.

A total of 15,742 trades were executed, amounting to a total value of Dh993.4 million.

Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company and Response Plus Holding PJSC led the gainers closing at Dh5 (14.94 percent increase) and Dh4.580 (10.1 percent increase), respectively.

Conversely, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company and Sharjah Insurance Company recorded the lowest gains closing at Dh6.080 (7.88 percent decline) and Dh1.6 (6.98 percent decline), respectively.

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) also closed at a decline (0.687 percent) ending the trading session at 4240.05 points. A total of 42 companies were involved in the trading session.

Thirteen companies witnessed an increase in their share prices, 24 witnessed a decline and five remained unchanged.

National General Insurance Company P.J.S.C (NGI) and AL SALAM Sudan recorded the highest gains closing at Dh5.730 (14.6 percent increase) and Dh0.720 (7.303 percent increase), respectively.

UNIKAI FOODS P.J.S.C. and Commercial Bank of Dubai P.S.C. closed the session at Dh7.8 (9.302 percent decline) and Dh6.6 (5.308 percent decline) recording the biggest share price drop.
