The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the UAE revealed that the number of aircraft registered in the country reached 924 aircraft, including 521 national carriers’  passenger and cargo aircraft.

The GCAA indicated that the aircraft registered in the country include six types: commercial aircraft, cargo aircraft, private jets, helicopters, hot-air balloons, and private sports aircraft.

The UAE has 86 light sports aircraft, 46 hot-air balloons, 120 commercial passenger aircraft, 15 cargo aircraft (excluding cargo aircraft registered for national carriers), 27 private jets, and 109 private helicopters.

Aircraft registered for national carriers reached 521 aircraft, including 500 passenger aircraft, 16 cargo aircraft, and five private jets. Air Arabia has a fleet of 44 aircraft, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (10), Emirates Airlines (269), Etihad Airways (99), Flydubai (85), and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi (14).
Early this year, GCAA launched a new version of the “Love Your Sky” campaign, the largest national awareness campaign for the UAE civil aviation sector, which extends over a period of 12 months. This version of the campaign is marketed with the slogan “Discover the essence of aviation” and includes the largest group of partnerships with entities and institutions related to the aviation sector at the federal and local levels, the private sector, and academic institutions. The campaign aims to provide a national platform to raise awareness of the various key messages of the aviation sector.
