Shailesh Pathak, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, affirmed the strength of UAE-Indian relations and the two countries’ efforts to deepen cooperation in sectors such as space, energy, food security, artificial intelligence, trade, and investments.

According to Pathak, the Federation is committed to enhancing mutual investment and capitalising on the opportunities available in the investment environment in both countries amid ongoing visits between delegations from both parties.

The Secretary-General, during a meeting with representatives of Emirati and Gulf media at the Federation’s headquarters, said that India opens its doors and welcomes Gulf investments. He explained that global crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, revealed the importance of minimising risks to vital sectors.

“India, as a country with strength in technology and space sectors, despite having 22 official languages, had no barriers to communication due to translation programmes and artificial intelligence providing translation for regional languages,” he said.
