Cutting emissions and advancing environmental solutions took centre stage as the global energy industry gathered at the recently concluded ADIPEC 2025 in Abu Dhabi — with innovators seizing the opportunity to showcase technologies that support the world’s net-zero ambitions.
From advanced industrial coatings to eco-friendly water disinfectants, exhibitors highlighted practical solutions designed to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency across the energy value chain.
Technology and innovation are the driving forces behind decarbonisation, said Dr Khalil Bazzi, Sales Director at Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company (EEC), a participant in ADIPEC. “Every new solution that reduces or eliminates emissions contributes to the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals.”
Bazzi and his team showcased zero-emission valve technologies and a NASA-approved thermal coating engineered to extend equipment lifespan and minimise energy loss.
Michael Harding, Program Manager, Emisshield, Inc., emphasised the role of advanced coatings in reducing industrial emissions.
“Our coating enables surfaces to absorb and re-radiate heat efficiently, resulting in less wasted heat, reduced fuel use, and cleaner combustion,” Herring said, noting that the technology can cut fuel use by up to 10% and air pollution by as much as 40%.
UAE-based energy solutions provider Emdad also underscored its contribution to the clean energy transition, showcasing a diverse portfolio of advanced technologies that reinforce its role in the offshore energy sector.
EMDAD hosted 19 co-exhibitors presenting innovations such as intelligent completion tools, multi-stage packers for fracking, and submersible pumps. The company also highlighted new partnerships, including an initiative that supports offshore electrification and contributes to carbon reduction efforts.
Another exhibitor, Emerald Ecotechnologies, presented electrochemical systems designed for safer and more sustainable water treatment.
“We manufacture equipment that produces eco-friendly disinfectants for potable water, wastewater, and cooling towers,” said Petr Gnatyuk, the firm’s CEO. “Our technology uses only salt and water, producing no harmful by-products.”
