China on Sunday said US President Donald Trump exempting consumer electronics from import levies was a "small step" in correcting his "wrong practice" of imposing 145% tariffs on Chinese goods.
"China is now evaluating the impact," a commerce ministry spokesperson said in a statement, after Washington said smartphones, computers and other electronics would be excluded from the levies.
