In the presence of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence honoured TRENDS Research & Advisory, awarding it the Tolerance Award during the opening ceremony of the Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference.
TRENDS is participating as a knowledge partner in the event, which is organised by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies (ESRC), in partnership with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence.
H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan presented the award to Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, during the ceremony, praising TRENDS’ outstanding efforts in supporting research and intellectual initiatives that promote tolerance as a means of cultural interaction and openness among nations.
In his remarks on the occasion, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali expressed his gratitude to H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak and the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence for the honour.
He emphasised that the award serves as a motivation to continue working towards strengthening pluralism and acceptance of others.
"At TRENDS, we believe that tolerance is the key to progress and stability. We are committed to producing knowledge and fostering constructive dialogue that brings societies closer together. This recognition inspires us to continue our efforts in supporting research and initiatives that promote a culture of tolerance and openness to diverse cultures and civilisations," Dr. Al-Ali stated.
He further noted that this recognition reinforces TRENDS’ vision and commitment to promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence, supporting intellectual and research initiatives that foster interfaith and intercultural dialogue, and reflecting the UAE’s global role as a model of tolerance and moderation.
