AMEINAH ALZEYOUDI (ABU DHABI)

42 Abu Dhabi, the innovative and disruptive coding academy in the UAE capital, has invited applications to join its intensive coding bootcamp Piscine, which will be held on February 3.

The academy provides a unique peer-to-peer, gamified learning methodology.

Students who succeed at Piscine will join the academy and become part of the 42 Abu Dhabi generation, enhancing their coding skills and contributing significantly to driving the emirate’s digital transformation, the Emirates News Agency, WAM reported.

The intense and immersive 25-day boot camp tests candidates’ computer programming skills, their drive, perseverance and devotion towards it.

The bootcamp is the final stage in the application process to 42 Abu Dhabi’s programme. Interested candiates are invited to visit 42 Abu Dhabi’s official website, where they have to complete its pre-selection “Game” and attend an in-person check-in discovery session to be briefed on Piscine and the learning methodology.

“At 42 Abu Dhabi, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of innovators with advanced coding skills and a deep understanding of AI, crucial to driving Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation and contributing to its digital economy,” WAM quoted Dr. Ahmed Al Shoaibi, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, as saying.

Speaking to Aletihad, Engineer Eman Al Marzouqi, Deputy CEO and Head of Industry Engagement at 42 Abu Dhabi, said: “To strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation and technology, we are committed to upskilling the workforce to thrive in the age of AI and digital transformation.”

By equipping individuals with the necessary tools and expertise, the academy aims to ensure their competitiveness in an evolving job market while contributing to the UAE’s vision of a knowledge-based economy driven by digital excellence, he added.

“These short, focused events allow partners and participants to explore 42 Abu Dhabi’s unique approach, with participants receiving a certificate upon completion of the programme.”

He also noted that students at 42 Abu Dhabi benefit from its strategic partnerships with leading organisations across industries, including the Department of Government Empowerment – Abu Dhabi, Department of Energy, Abu Dhabi Police, Mubadala, ADNOC, TotalEnergies, Microsoft, Beacon Red, and Ministry of Interior, Hub71, among others.

“We have planned a Career Day in February, which will serve as a platform to highlight the success of our graduates and ongoing collaborations,” Al Marzouqi said.

Additionally, they are organising a hackathon next week in collaboration with SambaNova Systems, a global leader in AI innovation known for transformative enterprise AI solutions.

“The hackathon will feature over 80 students who will leverage AI to address pressing challenges facing government entities and develop innovative solutions with real impact,” he added.
