A new report by global market intelligence firm, Savills ranked Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the top two cities globally for executive digital nomads thanks to their elite digital and physical connectivity as well as favourable visa schemes.

Executive nomads differ from normal digital nomads in their wealth and age, the executives are usually older and richer than their younger counterparts, more likely to travel with family and put emphasis on safety, access to healthcare and education.
In the latest report which monitors 25 locations globally, Dubai came out on top followed by Abu Dhabi and then Málaga (3rd), Miami (4th), Lisbon (5th), Barcelona (6th) and Palma (7th).

"Dubai and Abu Dhabi are incredibly appealing to executive nomads because they offer everything you need to thrive both personally and professionally, from modern infrastructure to high quality of life," said Andrew Cummings, Head of Residential Agency Middle East at Savills.

"While these cities are well known for their tourist attractions and luxury hotels, there is much more to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, We've seen a real focus on creating a lively business environment where there are plenty of opportunities to grow, build networks and make lifelong connections," he added.

The Savills report analysed 25 destinations based on their appeal and ease of access for long-term remote workers ranking them for their internet speed, air connectivity, stability in climate, prime residential rental market prices and overall quality of life.
The Emirati cities stood out in terms of their air connectivity, as well as favourable digital nomad and freelancer visa options.
