ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The Abu Dhabi Media Network marked Emirati Women's Day with a special event featuring a variety of activities, and with the participation of department heads and employees from various channels and platforms.
The celebration, held at the Aletihad newspaper building, was organised in line with the network's strategy, which considers women's issues as one of the key pillars of its media approach.
It also reflects the network's commitment to honouring Emirati women and celebrating their contributions to the media sector and other fields.
On this occasion, the CEO of Abu Dhabi Media, Rashid Al Qubaisi, said, "Abu Dhabi Media Network is keen to celebrate the esteemed status of Emirati women, both through its internal events and activities, and through the purposeful content presented by its platforms and media channels. This content highlights the ambitions and achievements of Emirati women on personal, societal, and national levels and showcases their valuable contributions to the progress of society and the comprehensive development journey. It also empowers Emirati talents in all areas of work, development, and innovation to drive progress within the network across all institutional and media levels."
Al Qubaisi extended his congratulations to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, President of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), on the occasion.
He expressed his appreciation for Her Highness' pivotal role in elevating the status of Emirati women since the formation of the Union to this day, following the path established by the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who emphasised the necessity of women taking their distinguished role in the development journey.
