As the Presidential campaign gets exciting in the United States, Dubai is building higher and on a grander scale with a Trump Tower set to come up in the city.

Dar Global, a luxury developer, is teaming up with the Trump Organization to build the tower bearing the former US President’s name.

The location of the skyscraper and its design will be revealed at the end of the year, Dar Global said.

The Trump Hotel and branded residential units, each “showcasing state-of-the-art amenities and world-class services” will be part of the development.

“With its distinctive style and opulence, it provides residents and guests with an extraordinary lifestyle experience,” said the developer in a statement.

“We are proud to expand our presence in the region further through the launch of our iconic Trump Tower Dubai in collaboration with the world-class luxury developer Dar Global. Trump Tower Dubai exemplifies our commitment to excellence and luxury, and we look forward to bringing our vision to life in one of the world’s most dynamic cities,” said Eric Trump, Executive Vice President, The Trump Organization.

Commenting on the launch, Ziad El Chaar, Chief Executive Officer of Dar Global, said: “The grand launch of Trump Tower Dubai is an extraordinary addition to the Dubai luxury market and to Dar Global’s renowned hospitality and residential portfolio.”

He said the Trump Tower would contribute to “elevating Dubai’s skyline while highlighting the city’s reputation as a worldwide beacon of excellence and sophistication.”

The project would redefine luxury living in the city, he added. Trump, the former US President and real estate baron, has previously partnered with Dubai real estate developer Damac to develop the Trump International Golf Club Dubai, or The Park in Dubai.

The project has nearly four million square feet of themed gardens, sporting amenities, a skate park, and stables. The Trump family have been all praise for the UAE over the years.

It was during the former president’s first term that the UAE, Israel, Bahrain and Morocco signed the historic Abraham Accords in 2020. Two weeks ago, Donald. J Trump Jr., the former US President’s older son, who was on a trip to the UAE and Oman gushed over his experience on an Emirates flight.

In a post on social media, he said: “If you’re going to do 18 hours on the ground, a day trip to the Middle East, this is the way to do it.”

He was blown away by the Emirates’ first class service and in-flight experience, and posted videos on TikTtok.
