The Abu Dhabi Media Office announced that Tabreed released its fourth Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for 2023.
In a post on X, it said that the report showed "positive indicators towards decarbonisation of cooling in 2023, with energy consumption reduced by 2.52 billion kWh in its operations, the equivalent to powering more than 143,000 homes."
The post also included an image featuring more of Tabreed's 2023 highlights.
Last year, Tabreed designed, built, and commisioned G2COOL, the gulf region's first geothermal district cooling plant, in partnership with ADNOC.
Additionally, it purchased 116,000 MWh of solar-sources Clean Energy Certificates from Emirates Water and Electricity Company .
It also joined a cardon credits trading pilot by Dubai Financial Market.
Moreover, it increased its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
