ADNOC Distribution is making significant strides in digital transformation. Engineer Bader Saeed Al Lamki, the company’s CEO, emphasised to Aletihad the company’s commitment to adopting the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and digital services, to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, on the sidelines of a press tour at the headquarters of the ADNOC Distribution Station on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
One of the most innovative initiatives is the deployment of an AI-powered robotic fuel arm. This fully automated system can refill vehicles without human intervention, offering a faster and more contactless fuelling option.
Beyond the fuel pumps, ADNOC Oasis convenience stores are also receiving a digital makeover. Self-payment machines allow customers to efficiently pay for their purchases without needing employee assistance. This service, a first-of-its-kind for retail fuel stations, streamlines the checkout process and saves customers valuable time, Al Lamki told Aletihad.
Further enhancing convenience, the “Click & Collect” service leverages the ADNOC Distribution app. Customers can pre-order products from ADNOC Oasis stores and pick them up directly at the designated location upon arrival at the station. This eliminates the need to browse shelves and wait in line, creating a more seamless shopping experience.
