The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s session at 9165.19 points and a 0.317% decline.
Seventy-four companies were involved in the trading session. Share prices of 22 companies went up, 39 went down and 13 remained unchanged.
Commercial Bank International recorded the highest gains closing at Dh0.724 and a 14.92% increase. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, on the other hand recorded the largest losses closing at Dh10.92 and a 5.7% decline.
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) also closed on a negative note at 4,172.93 points, down by 0.27%. Share prices of the 20 companies of the 41 companies involved went up, 16 went down and five remained unchanged.
Al Firdous Holdings recorded the highest gains closing at Dh0.333 and a 6.05% increase. Conversely, AL SALAM Sudan recorded the biggest price drop closing at Dh0.650 and a 9.344% decline.
Gold prices were steady on Wednesday after rallying to record highs last week. Spot gold held its ground at $2,381.68 per ounce, as of 0337 GMT, after hitting an all-time high of $2,431.29 on Friday.
US gold futures fell 0.4% to $2,397.70.
