International Holding Company (IHC) reported an 87% year-on-year increase in profit after tax to Dh32.5 billion for the first nine months of 2026, as revenue rose 33.2% to Dh100.5 billion.
Gross profit increased 35.4% to Dh25.3 billion, while profit before tax rose 84.2% to Dh35.1 billion. Earnings per share increased 129.6% to Dh9.71, and return on equity stood at 20.8%.
Seven of the group’s eight business segments recorded revenue growth, while international revenue more than doubled.
“Surpassing Dh100 billion in revenue is an important milestone, supported by growth across our operating businesses and the continued expansion of IHC’s international investment platform,” said Syed Basar Shueb, CEO of IHC.
“With seven of our eight business segments recording revenue growth and international revenue more than doubling, these results highlight the resilience and breadth of our businesses and their growing contribution across markets.”
Real estate and construction remained the group’s largest revenue contributor, generating Dh33.3 billion, up 12.8%. Marine and dredging revenue increased 3.7% to Dh22.4 billion.
Energy and mining revenue rose 295.1% to Dh19.3 billion, driven by the expansion of minerals, metals and hydrocarbon trading activities.
Hospitality and leisure revenue increased 93.7% to Dh7.8 billion, while financial services revenue grew 53.7% to Dh4.4 billion. Food revenue rose 25.7% to Dh5.1 billion, and technology revenue increased 20.5% to Dh2.9 billion.
Profit after tax was also supported by investment income within the financial services segment. The seven segments outside financial services collectively increased profit by 37.5% to Dh12.6 billion.
Total assets increased 13.4% to Dh485.9 billion, while total equity rose 9.9% to Dh275.4 billion. Owners’ equity increased 11.5% to Dh170.5 billion.
Cash and bank balances stood at Dh76.6 billion at the end of September. Net debt increased to Dh30.4 billion, reflecting financing raised to support the group’s investment programme.
During the period, IHC deployed approximately Dh25 billion into associates, joint ventures, financial assets and investment properties. Its quick ratio stood at 2.6 times, while its debt-to-equity ratio was 0.4 times.
“Our focus remains on maintaining financial discipline and deploying capital selectively,” Shueb said.
“The investments and partnerships we have advanced across artificial intelligence, space technology, energy and mining, infrastructure and financial services demonstrate how we are connecting capital, expertise and capabilities to build Dynamic Value Networks, unlock new sources of growth across the Group and create sustainable long-term value for our shareholders.”
In June, IHC commenced the first Dh1.8 billion tranche of its second Dh5 billion share-buyback programme. By September 30, it had repurchased approximately 1.9 million shares for Dh705 million.
The group said it would remain selective in deploying capital, while focusing on portfolio-company performance and improving capital efficiency.
