ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Royal Development Holding and SAAS Properties have awarded a Dh790 million main works construction contract to Fibrex LLC for Seamont Autograph Collection Residences on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.

The award marks the project’s transition from enabling works to full-scale construction, with work scheduled to begin in October 2026. The 27-month construction programme is targeting completion in December 2028.

Royal Development Holding, a subsidiary of Emirates Stallions Group, is developing the project in partnership with SAAS Properties. Fibrex will undertake the main construction works for the development.

Located on Al Reem Island, Seamont Autograph Collection Residences is planned as a waterfront development combining contemporary architecture with Marriott’s Autograph Collection standards and residential offerings. The project is inspired by its mangrove setting and overlooks Saadiyat Island’s cultural district.

Tariq Nazzal, CEO of Royal Development Holding, said the award marked “one of the most significant milestones” in the delivery of the project.

“Together with our partners at SAAS Properties, we are committed to delivering a development that reflects a shared vision for quality, design excellence and long-term value,” Nazzal said.

“As Royal Development Holding continues to expand its portfolio of branded residences, our strategy remains focused on partnering with globally recognised brands and industry-leading specialists to create exceptional destinations with confidence,” he added.

Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Chief Executive Officer of SAAS, said delivering projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality remained central to the company’s approach.

“For Seamont Autograph Collection Residences, we share a clear vision with Royal Development Holding and Marriott’s Autograph Collection to deliver a project that reflects the highest standards of design, quality and residential experience,” Al Qassimi said.

“Selecting the right construction partner is essential to achieving that vision, and we believe Fibrex brings the experience and capabilities needed to deliver on our commitments while maintaining the standards expected of a development of this calibre,” he added.

Sufyan Saleh, Managing Director of Fibrex LLC, said: “We value the confidence Royal Development Holding and SAAS Properties has placed in Fibrex.”

“Seamont Autograph Collection Residences is a significant undertaking, and we bring to it the depth of experience and technical capability required to deliver a development of this nature,” Saleh said.

“As construction begins, our commitment is to execute the project with the discipline, quality and attention to detail it demands.”

Fibrex has more than 50 years of construction experience in the UAE and wider MENA region and a direct workforce of more than 17,000 personnel. The company has an annual operating turnover exceeding Dh5 billion and in-house plant and equipment assets worth more than Dh500 million, according to the statement.

Royal Development Holding said the appointment reflected its focus on working with experienced construction partners across its developments. The company operates under Emirates Stallions Group and draws on Royal Development Company’s experience of managing more than 60 projects across over 15 countries and Dh20 billion in sales.

Emirates Stallions Group, a subsidiary of IHC, has more than 50 subsidiaries across sectors including real estate, design and manufacturing, landscaping, manpower and accommodation, and agriculture. The group had total assets of Dh4.788 billion as of June 30, 2026.
