Aldar generated more than Dh5 billion in sales from the launches of Talay and Yas Riva Reserve, two residential developments on Saadiyat and Yas islands, the company said on Tuesday.

The sales were recorded in the week leading to the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX) in Abu Dhabi, a forum focused on the role of liveability in creating long-term economic and social value.

More than half of the buyers — 54% — were first-time Aldar customers, while UAE nationals accounted for 31%.

Expatriate residents and overseas buyers represented the remaining 69% of sales. Buyers from the UAE, UK, Russia, Jordan and India were among the leading nationalities by sales volume.

Female buyers represented 30% of sales and male buyers 70%, while 55% of all buyers were under the age of 45.

Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Development, said Abu Dhabi continued to strengthen its position as a destination to live and invest.

“Abu Dhabi continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s most attractive places to live, invest, and build for the long term, supported by an exceptional quality of life and a clear vision for sustainable growth,” Emery said.

“The continued demand we are seeing, from UAE nationals, residents, and international buyers, reflects confidence in the emirate and underscores momentum as we convene for LIVEX 2026,” he added.

Talay is the first residential community within Marsa Al Saadiyat, while Yas Riva Reserve is a gated waterfront community to the northeast of Yas Island. Both developments are designed around family living, with landscaped open spaces and access to the waterfront.

Talay forms part of Marsa Al Saadiyat, a Dh100 billion waterfront development that will complete the final phase of Saadiyat Island's masterplan and is expected to eventually accommodate more than 58,000 residents.

The community will feature water channels inspired by the traditional falaj system, an outdoor majlis pavilion and play spaces drawing on Abu Dhabi's maritime heritage.

The wider Marsa Al Saadiyat development will include Abu Dhabi's largest marina, 5.6 kilometres of beaches and a one-kilometre waterfront promenade, alongside dining and hospitality facilities, three schools and walking and cycling routes.

Spanning about 6.4 million square metres and eight kilometres of coastline, the development will have direct connections to Saadiyat Cultural District and an underground Etihad Rail high-speed rail station.

Yas Riva Reserve, meanwhile, is planned as a waterfront residential community connected to Yas Island through a new bridge that will provide an additional entry point to the island. The development will include interconnected linear parks, pocket gardens and landscaped open spaces.

The community is located near attractions including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall and Yas Marina Circuit, as well as schools, parks, retail and hospitality facilities on Yas Island.
