DUBAI (ALETIHAD)
Dubai Police has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Enercap Energy Holding Limited to strengthen cooperation, partnership and the exchange of expertise and knowledge in areas of mutual interest, with a particular focus on research, development, and innovation.
The agreement covers technical projects and autonomous marine systems, supporting efforts to enhance operational and technical capabilities and keep pace with the latest global technologies and solutions in security and policing.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Dubai Police by Brigadier Mansour Al Gergawi, Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs, and on behalf of Enercap Energy Holding Limited by Khalifa Khouri, Chairman of the company and Chairman of Apex Energy Investments.
Research, Testing, and Innovation
The agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to building effective partnerships that support the development of innovative projects and the exploration, testing and evaluation of emerging technologies.
It also provides for joint studies, research, technical and field trials, as well as the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and international best practices.
Under the MoU, the two parties will cooperate on innovative projects and systems designed to develop operational processes, exchange scientific research, and provide opportunities to use facilities and scientific laboratories in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
Autonomous Marine Systems
A key area of cooperation will be the development of marine systems and autonomous boats.
The two parties will support research and development related to autonomous marine systems, including their development and testing, while exploring and evaluating innovative technologies and solutions.
The partnership will also facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge, expertise and international best practices in this field.
AI and Smart Systems
The MoU also includes cooperation on artificial intelligence projects and smart systems related to security and police operations.
This will support opportunities to develop advanced technological solutions that respond to both current and future operational needs.
Building Technical and Operational Capabilities
Training is another key area covered by the agreement. Dubai Police and Enercap Energy Holding Limited will cooperate on training programmes and workshops aimed at developing technical and operational capabilities.
These will include train-the-trainer programmes and specialised training, alongside the provision and exchange of educational and training materials, best practices and modern approaches.
