Aldar has launched Sei Saadiyat, a new residential development in Saadiyat Cultural District comprising 778 homes across six buildings.

The first phase will include 265 homes across two residential buildings, with sales scheduled to begin on September 16, the company said in a statement.

The development will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as two-bedroom lofts.

The company said Sei Saadiyat would introduce a new loft-style format to its residential portfolio, featuring double-height, open-plan living spaces, elevated bedrooms overlooking the main living area, large windows and flexible working spaces.

The name “Sei”, meaning stillness and calm in Japanese, reflects the development’s focus on wellness, relaxation, fitness and social connection, the company said.

Shared facilities will include hot and cold pools set within landscaped gardens, a Zen garden with a serenity pool, outdoor yoga decks, three indoor gyms, outdoor fitness areas and sports courts.

The development will also include a specialist clinic focused on health, physiotherapy and recovery, alongside a library and gaming lounge, cinema rooms, co-working spaces, an indoor children’s club and outdoor play areas.

Landscaped courtyards between the buildings will feature walking paths, planting, art and areas for relaxation, while retail and food and beverage outlets will provide access to everyday services and dining, the statement said.

Aldar said select residences on the higher floors would offer views across Saadiyat Cultural District, including Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, as well as the Arabian Gulf and Abu Dhabi skyline.

The development is located near Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, as well as Saadiyat Grove, Mamsha Beach and Marsa Al Saadiyat.

Sei Saadiyat is targeting an Estidama Pearl 3 rating and will include smart community features and provisions for electric vehicles, the company said.
