A rapidly evolving tech landscape demands more sophisticated defences, and innovators in the country's security sector are working to stay ahead of the curve.
Exhibitors at this year's ISNR are showcasing how they address emerging security challenges with advanced solutions - from automated systems that neutralise threats to technologies that safeguard communications in high-risk environments.
Waleid Al Mesmari, President of the Space and Cyber Technologies cluster at EDGE, said the rise of risks such as cyber espionage, phishing attacks, and malware intrusions call for more adaptive and intelligent systems.
EDGE, he said, recognises that "the threat environment is becoming increasingly complex and challenging", driven by advances in technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum cryptography.
It is against this backdrop that smart, integrated solutions are being developed, Al Mesmari added.
Among the technologies EDGE is showcasing at ISNR are the Katim X3M quantum attack-resistant device, Katim X4 secure collaboration platform, and the Katim Gateway series, alongside software solutions designed for monitoring, risk assessment, and network protection.
He also highlighted newly launched platforms including ECHO, a fully automated intrusion detection and protection system; and PROTECTION360, an integrated platform focused on threat detection, attack disruption, and data compliance.
Beyond technology, EDGE also offers consulting, training, and capacity-building programmes to help institutions prepare for evolving threats.
"We take pride in our role in supporting and protecting critical infrastructure through advanced cyber solutions," Al Mesmari said.
For local security solutions provider Sicuro, the focus is on strengthening defences where challenges are most acute, including high-risk zones and remote areas. Its mesh communication system, for example, supports frontline operations in environments with limited or no connectivity. It allows teams on the field to communicate securely even as they operate in disrupted and isolated conditions.
Citing another solution, Mahmoud Abedalrahman Daya, the company's General Manager, highlighted a surveillance technology that is built to withstand hazards.
"Our explosion-proof camera technology ensures continuous recording even in high-risk environments, maintaining safety and operational awareness without interruption," Daya said.
He also noted the company's growing presence in event security infrastructure, particularly through mobile screening and inspection systems that support large-scale gatherings.
