AL AIN (ALETIHAD)

Strata Manufacturing PJSC (“Strata”), the advanced manufacturing company wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company, has continued its strong upward growth trajectory in 2025, increasing both production volumes and global exports from its Al Ain facility to major international aerospace OEMs.

Strata recorded a nearly 40% increase in aircraft structural components produced in 2025, manufacturing a total of 16,328 primary and secondary aircraft structures, compared to 11,783 components in 2024. These components support leading global aircraft platforms operated by Airbus, Boeing, Pilatus and Leonardo - reinforcing the growing global footprint of UAE manufactured aerospace components proudly carrying the “Made with Pride in the UAE” slogan.

Since commencing production in 2010 through the end of 2025, Strata has manufactured approximately 115,000 primary and secondary aircraft structural components for wide-body aircraft and business jets. These components have been installed on aircraft operated by Airbus, Boeing, Pilatus, and Leonardo.

More than 90% of Strata’s production lines are single source, meaning the components produced in Al Ain are manufactured nowhere else in the world, further strengthening global confidence in UAE-based advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Recent performance figures indicate that one in every three aircraft flying globally today - or approximately 30% - contains components manufactured exclusively in the UAE, reflecting a tangible increase in the UAE’s share of global aerospace industrial output.

Strength of UAE Achievements

Commenting on these achievements, Ismail Ali Abdulla, Managing Director of Strata, said: “These figures reflect the strength and global impact of UAE industrial achievements and highlight the significant value Strata adds to advanced manufacturing and the global aerospace industry. Our forward-looking vision anticipates even greater milestones ahead, reinforcing our position among leading global aerospace manufacturers.

"We take immense pride in our exceptional national talent and Emirati professionals whose industrial contributions translate the UAE’s ambitious strategic vision into measurable outcomes, demonstrating the country’s commitment to sustaining its growing influence in the aerospace sector.”

A Story of Excellence

Sara Abdulla Al Mameri, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Strata, stated: “Strata’s achievements in advanced manufacturing and aerospace are milestones registered in the name of the UAE, which today is leading a rapid and transformative shift in the global aerospace industry.

"Strata’s success story is built on the optimal integration of advanced technical capabilities alongside the development and empowerment of national talent, ensuring sustainable competitiveness in advanced manufacturing according to the highest global quality standards. This approach enables us to continuously strengthen our manufacturing portfolio, and deliver world-class responsiveness to the requirements of our strategic partners, including Airbus, Boeing, and Pilatus.”

Future Fit Award

In November 2025, Strata received the Future Fit award for advanced aerospace and space industries by the UAE Government Development and the Future Office. The recognition honors entities that deliver exceptional projects enhancing the UAE’s readiness for the future, in appreciation of Strata’s achievements in advanced composite manufacturing, and its evolution into a global hub within aerospace supply chains—reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global destination for aerospace manufacturing.

A320 Family Ailerons Manufacturing

During the Dubai Airshow 2025, Strata expanded its manufacturing portfolio with Airbus A320 Family Ailerons. This milestone represents Strata’s first Single-Aisle (SA) aircraft product and marks a significant expansion of manufacturing capabilities.

Under the new production line, Strata will supply 50% of Airbus demand for A320 family Ailerons, which has a backlog of over 7,000 aircraft.

EPI, a subsidiary of EDGE Group and a leader in precision engineering for aerospace, energy and defense, extended contract with Strata to manufacture advanced Titanium components for the Airbus A330 programme, supporting Strata’s assembly operations through 2030.

PC-12 PRO Production Commencement

In 2025, an agreement was signed between Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement and Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. to expand collaboration in manufacturing various aircraft structures for Pilatus PC-24, the world’s most versatile business jet, at Strata’s facility in Al Ain.

The partnership also includes a new project to manufacture composite structural components for Pilatus PC-12 PRO, further strengthening the long-standing strategic partnership between Strata and Pilatus.

This announcement coincided with the celebration of the delivery of 100 shipments across five major work packages for the PC-24 aircraft.

Artificial Intelligence Partnership

Strata signed a strategic MoU with Sanad, the global leader in aircraft engineering and leasing solutions, and Sindan, a UAE-based technology company specialising in AI-powered additive manufacturing and industrial automation. The collaboration aims to explore the adoption of AI, robotics, and 3D printing in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations.

Empowering People of Determination

In December 2025, 10 trainees from Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination in Al Ain successfully completed a specialised six-month training programme at Strata. As one of the first industrial entities to open the doors to inclusive industrial training, Strata continues to prepare for welcoming a second batch in the coming year.

National Talent with Global Skills

Emirati nationals represent 69% of Strata’s workforce and this percentage first time to reach, the majority occupying advanced engineering, technical, and specialist roles.

Emirati women account for over 88% of national employees, reflecting Strata’s commitment to empowering women in advanced manufacturing.

Strata has also developed the skills of more than 650 Emirati professionals through its Aerospace Structures Training Programme, delivered in collaboration with academic institutions and global partners across 17 batches, contributing directly to production excellence across all manufacturing stages.
