ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
Royal Development Holding has announced the launch of Radisson Residences Al Reem Island, a new waterfront residential development in Abu Dhabi, marking the world’s first standalone Radisson Residences, according to a press release issued by the company.
The project, valued at Dh1.2 billion, is being developed in collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group and is located along the waterfront of Al Reem Island, overlooking Abu Dhabi’s mangrove belt. Royal Development Holding said the development represents a new phase in the expansion of its branded-residences portfolio and reflects growing demand for projects that combine hospitality standards with residential living.
Radisson Residences Al Reem Island will comprise three towers built over a shared podium and will include a mix of residential units ranging from studios and one- to three-bedroom apartments to two-bedroom and four-bedroom townhouses. The development will feature a promenade level, podium floors, an amenities level, and 24 residential floors, the statement said.
Royal Development Holding said the project has been designed around the concept of immersive coastal living, with architecture and layouts oriented towards the surrounding mangroves and tidal waterways. Features include floor-to-ceiling glazing, balconies and outdoor-focused layouts intended to maximise waterfront views.
Interiors are designed using natural materials and finishes that reflect the coastal setting, while amenities will include wellness and recreational facilities such as swimming pools, fitness centres, yoga studios and landscaped courtyards. Concierge services will be offered, with additional benefits available through the Radisson Rewards programme, according to the release.
Commenting on the announcement, Tariq Nazzal, Chief Executive of Royal Development Holding, said the project represented a significant milestone for the company. “Radisson Residences Al Reem Island is the first standalone Radisson Residences worldwide and the first branded residence in Al Reem scheduled for completion by the end of 2027,” he said, adding that the development reflects the company’s focus on delivering design-led, waterfront living environments anchored in well-being and community.
Elie Milky, Chief Development Officer for the Middle East, Northeast Africa, Greece and Cyprus at Radisson Hotel Group, said the collaboration brought Radisson Residences to one of Abu Dhabi’s key waterfront locations. He said the project’s nature-led design and hospitality-enhanced residential offering aligned with the group’s vision for modern branded living and supported its strategy to expand its footprint in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
Royal Development Holding, founded in 2025, is a subsidiary of Emirates Stallions Group, which is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and forms part of International Holding Company. The company said the project builds on its experience in delivering branded and lifestyle-focused real estate developments in the UAE.
