ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
Parkin Company PJSC, Dubai’s largest provider of paid public parking facilities and services, has signed a five-year agreement with DAMAC Properties in a move that marks Parkin’s first expansion into Abu Dhabi, according to a media statement.
Under the partnership, Parkin will manage approximately 3,600 parking spaces across DAMAC’s portfolio of high-profile developments in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The agreement covers around 500 on-street parking spaces in DAMAC Hills 1, as well as about 2,700 parking spaces across 44 residential and commercial towers located in Downtown Dubai, DIFC, Dubai Marina, Business Bay, and Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
The company said the entry into Abu Dhabi represents a major milestone in its strategy to extend its geographic footprint beyond Dubai, and deepen its presence in the developer-parking segment.
As part of the agreement, visitor and permit parking solutions will be offered across DAMAC’s communities, with all locations to be integrated into the Parkin mobile app to provide a unified digital platform for users.
Implementation is scheduled to begin in Q1 2026, with the integration of Parkin’s systems—including access control, automatic number plate recognition and enforcement technologies—across all sites to ensure seamless connectivity and operational efficiency.
Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, said the agreement “reflects the value we deliver to partners and developers by applying our proven capabilities to some of the UAE’s best-known communities,” adding that expanding into Abu Dhabi is “a milestone in our growth strategy” and will help set new benchmarks in customer experience and smart mobility across the country.
Mohammed Tahaineh, Chief Project Officer of DAMAC Properties, said the partnership supports DAMAC’s focus on convenience and safety. He noted that Parkin’s smart-technology solutions would enhance the customer journey across DAMAC’s development
