ADNOC Distribution, ADCB gain as main indices continue slide

ADNOC Distribution and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) made gains even as the main indices of the UAE stock markets continued their downward trend.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) General Index (FADGI) declined 0.3330% to close below the 10,000 mark at 9,961.16. A total of 24,402 trades were executed, involving 231 million shares with a combined value of Dh1.02 billion. The total market capitalisation of all companies listed on the ADX stood at Dh3.068 trillion.

Al Khaleej Investments (KICO) (+11%), ADNOC Distribution (+0.79%) and ADCB (+0.291%) were among the prominent companies that made gains on Thursday.

ADNOC Gas (-0.87%) and Presight (-9.8%) suffered losses after they declared their third-quarter and first nine-month results.

The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) General Index (DFMGI) fell 0.84% to close below the 6,000 mark at 5,991.16. A total of 15,843 trades were executed, involving 355 million shares with a combined value of Dh683 million. Share prices of 14 companies rose, 30 declined, and seven remained unchanged.

Emirates NBD (-4.73%), Talabat (-0.34%), du (-0.31%) and Salik (-1.92%) were among the prominent stocks that suffered losses. Talabat continued to decline, with its latest price at Dh0.870 compared with its Dh1.60 listing price last year. Deyaar and Shuaa Investment recorded minor gains on a day marked by severe volatility.
