Shares worth Dh1.4 trillion traded at UAE stock markets

Shares worth over Dh1.4 trillion were traded on Wednesday in the UAE stock markets despite the uncertainty in global markets over the deteriorating geo-political situation.

Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reported a total of 19,752 trades involving 213 million shares with a total value of Dh949 million. The general index of the ADX (FADGI) fell by a marginal 0.483% to close at 9,289 points.

The trading session saw prices of 27 companies rise, while 45 companies experienced a decline. Additionally, eight companies closed unchanged compared to their previous closing prices.

The market capitalisation of listed companies at ADX reached Dh2.817 trillion.

Al Dhafra Insurance, Al Khaleej Investment, Apex Investment and E7 Group are among the gainers, while Rapco Investment, Presight AI and Gulf Cement are among those who experienced declines. 

In the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), the general index (DFMGI) fell by 0.438% to close at 4,324 points. The trading session witnessed 11,069 trades involving 297 million shares with a total value of Dh454 million.

The trading session saw prices of 18 companies rise, while 21 companies experienced a decline. Additionally, five companies closed unchanged compared to their previous closing prices.

Dubai National Insurance & Reinsurance,  Shuaa Capital, Aramex and Salik are among the gainers, while National International Holding, Parkin, Al Salam Bank and Emaar Developers are among those who experienced declines.
