SEE Holding, the UAE’s first sustainably focused global holding group, is exhibiting its diversified portfolio of solutions aimed at spearheading a net zero emissions future during the AIM Congress in Abu Dhabi.

The 13th edition of AIM Congress kicked off in the UAE capital on Tuesday under the theme “Adapting to A Shifting Investment Landscape: Harnessing New Potentials for Global Economic Development”.

As the sustainability partner of AIM Congress, SEE Holding offers a first hand look into its working model of future cities at its stand, where visitors are briefed on the social, environmental, and economic strategies for achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

SEE Holding’s flagship project, The Sustainable City in Dubai, demonstrates remarkable achievements, including a 78 percent reduction in residents’ emissions footprint, a 40 percent decrease in water usage, and an 89 percent diversion of waste from landfills.

This “live-work-thrive” community not only surpasses its emissions targets but has consistently been rated as the happiest community in the GCC, according to the group.

Speaking to Aletihad, Marwa Nahlawi, General Manager of SEE Holding, underscored the benefits of sustainable living.

“A sustainable lifestyle not only improves health and social wellbeing but also provides significant environmental and economic benefits.

“Residents of sustainable cities enjoy lower electricity bills thanks to reliance on renewable energy sources such as solar energy.

Furthermore, reducing reliance on conventional vehicles results in a significant reduction in harmful emissions, contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment.”

The group comprises companies such as Diamond Developers, City Solar, and Tadweer, alongside others dedicated to designing, investing in, and building sustainable infrastructure and cities to advance the UN 2050 net zero emissions targets.

Currently, SEE Holding is developing three new sustainable cities in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat, which will expand its real estate population capacity to over 23,000 people.

The AIM Congress, running until May 9, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, witnesses the participation of government officials, corporate leaders, policy-makers, businesspeople, regional and international investors, entrepreneurs, leading academics, and experts.
