Etihad Airways’ pursuit of excellence has been rewarded with a Five-Star Global Airline rating by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) for the third year in a row.
The rating recognises the UAE national airline’s superior service and was based on neutral, third-party feedback. It was announced on September 20 at the APEX Awards Ceremony in California, in partnership with TripIt from Concur, the world’s highest-rated travel-organising app.
Nearly one million flights were rated by passengers travelling on more than 600 airlines from around the world on a 5-star scale. These were independently certified by a professional external auditing agency.
“Our guests are at the heart of all we do, and we are immensely proud to retain our Five-Star rating for the third year in a row, thanks to their ratings and feedback. We strive to deliver world-class service for our guests, inspired by the traditional Emirati hospitality of our home in Abu Dhabi, and we will continue to push the boundaries of the industry even higher,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad.
Meanwhile, Etihad is all set to launch three new destinations ahead of the busy winter schedule. The Dusseldorf service will launch from Abu Dhabi on September 28; Copenhagen will follow on September 29. The national carrier will also introduce flights to Osaka from October 1.
Etihad is also expanding its network while increasing flight frequencies in Europe and Asia. The airline’s award-winning guest experience offers the highest standards of service and hospitality regardless of the cabin..
The latest honour follows the Best Economy Class award for the airline in the Business Traveller Middle East Awards.
