The UAE is preparing to operate between 200 and 300 repatriation flights to help travellers stranded in the country, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) announced.

During a media conference on Tuesday, Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, NCEMA spokesperson, said an integrated operational plan has been developed in coordination with relevant authorities and airlines.

The schedule is designed to ensure the safe and orderly departure of passengers affected by widespread suspensions of normal flight services amidst regional tensions.

"This reflects the high level of national coordination and operational readiness in managing air traffic under exceptional circumstances," Dr Al Dhaheri said.

Efforts include easing procedures for visas as well as facilitating accommodation, meals and transport for stranded travellers.

Dr Al Dhaheri also emphasised that daily life in the UAE continues as normal, with essential services including energy, water, communications, transport, healthcare and the supply of goods and materials operating efficiently.

Emergency business continuity plans have also been activated to ensure the resilience of critical sectors, he added.

Education across the country remains uninterrupted through remote learning systems in place, ensuring students can continue learning in a safe and stable environment.
