Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) is participating in the Liwa Date Festival and Auction in Madinat Zayed, Al Dhafra Region, ensuring safety and security at the event.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the event runs from October 11 to 20, 2024.
The festival aims to raise awareness of the importance of agriculture and features various activities inspired by the local heritage.
Director of the Criminal Security Sector of Al Dhafra Police Directorate, His Excellency Colonel Hamdan Saif Al Mansouri, stated that the festival reflects the vision of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in preserving the ancient heritage of the Emirate, particularly the palm tree.
ADP emphasised its commitment to cooperating with various local government agencies to ensure the festival's success.
ADP provides a number of services during the festival, including streamlining the entry and exit procedures for visitors and deploying police patrols to ease traffic jams at the location.
