Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council, Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, and the Minister of Government Communications of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Muhannad Mubaidin, discussed ways of cooperation in designing and implementing the Arab strategy for media and information literacy.
This came on the sidelines of the UAE's participation in the Gulf Radio and Television Festival held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The two sides discussed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action in the fields of content creation, gaming, and esports, emphasising the need to activate the goals of the Arab media strategy to counteract content that conflicts with the values and principles of the Arab and Islamic nations.
Furthermore, they stressed the necessity of training and preparing a new generation of young media professionals, equipping them with the skills and experience needed to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the media sector, especially advancements in media technology.
