ABU DHABI (WAM)

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, attended the fourth day of the Zayed Grand Camel Race 2024 this evening at the Al Wathba Camel Race Track. The event features the participation of thousands of camels from the UAE and GCC countries.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour observed part of the competitions and the main races, which were held over a 6-kilometer distance in the evening session at the Al Wathba Camel Race Track.

The event was also attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Adviser to His Highness the UAE President and Chairman of the Camel Racing Federation, along with a large audience of camel racing enthusiasts and fans from across the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Participants praised the significant support provided by the UAE's leadership for this traditional sport, which embodies the heritage and cultural essence of Emirati society.

Camel owners expressed their gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Mansour for his continuous support and attention to the sport, emphasising that his patronage of the event plays a vital role in elevating the status of camel racing both locally and regionally.
