The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) issued a series of circulars Tuesday regarding the gradual return to in-person attendance at the emirate's educational institutions.
In its statement, the SPEA announced that private school and nursery staff members would resume in-person attendance from Wednesday, April 15. This will be followed by the return of students to nurseries in the emirate from Thursday, April 16.
The circulars said: "Pursuant to the decision of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, the Sharjah Private Education Authority announces the commencement of in-person attendance for administrative and teaching staff in private schools and nurseries in the Emirate of Sharjah, effective Wednesday, 15 April 2026, in order to ensure readiness and provide training on emergency and crisis protocols."
They added: "Pursuant to the decision of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, the Sharjah Private Education Authority announces that nurseries located in government facilities and commercial buildings in the Emirate of Sharjah will be ready to receive children starting Thursday, 16 April 2026. This is subject to the completion of training for nursery administrative and teaching staff on emergency and crisis protocols, to ensure the children return to a safe and supportive environment."
