Abdulla Salem Al Nuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), has been appointed Chairman of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM), according to a social media announcement by the stock exchange.
With over 25 years of leadership in capital markets and a strong track record in driving innovation, market development and global connectivity, Al Nuaimi has led several key digital transformation and capital market initiatives.
These efforts have positioned ADX among the top 20 exchanges globally and the second-largest in the Arab region by market capitalisation, the exchange said.
“Under his stewardship, the ADX Group actively played a key role in connecting markets globally, linking regional and international capital markets through an integrated and diversified market infrastructure — Tabadul Hub,” the stock market added.
Reacting to his appointment, Al Nuaimi said: “I am honoured and humbled to assume the Chairmanship of the AFCM. First, I would like to thank Bilel Sahnoun, CEO of the Tunis Stock Exchange, for his steadfast stewardship.
“As a unifying association for capital markets, AFCM has entered a defining era and a time of immense complexity. To navigate the challenges ahead and progress in today’s increasingly complex and dynamic landscape, AFCM’s mission extends beyond trading.
