Residents and employees can now complete their visa medical examinations at home or in the office through Emirates Health Services’ (EHSUAE) Weqayati mobile clinics.
Flexible in-home consultations can be scheduled through the Weqayati Centres by calling the hotline 8008877. Then, a medical team will come over to conduct the required tests, and results will be delivered by email or SMS.
Companies can also arrange on-site medical exams for their employees. This helps businesses save time while ensuring staff complete their medical fitness examinations and receive their certificates promptly without having to leave their offices.
Expats have lauded the initiative and how it eliminates travel and waiting periods.
Egyptian national Reham Ebrahim said he was pleased to hear about the new service. “Medical exams for visa renewals will now be a lot simpler, especially since there’s now an option to do it at home. There will be no need to wait at medical facilities.”
Mustafa Bakar from Sudan also said the service will make the process “easier” and “more seamless”, especially if a company could book it for the entire office so the screenings can be done in a batch.
Syrian resident Manar Mohammad said such services “demonstrate the amount of work being done to streamline crucial processes”.
"This way, we don’t have to navigate traffic or worry about being late. We can complete it from the comfort of our homes,” the expat said.
