A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) visited the Public Prosecution Office of the Republic of Serbia, as part of its official mission to Belgrade.
The delegation met with Nenad Stefanović, Attorney General of the Republic of Serbia, to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation frameworks, exchanging expertise, and sharing knowledge, while reviewing the latest practices and innovations adopted within prosecution offices and judicial systems.
The delegation was led by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of ADJD, and included Counsellor Ali Mohamed Al Baloushi, Attorney General of Abu Dhabi; Counsellor Ali Al Dhaheri, Director of Judicial Inspection; and Abdullah Zahran, Director of Strategic Planning and Institutional Development.
The meeting was attended by a number of Serbian prosecution officials, who delivered a presentation on the organisational structure and main functions of the Serbian Public Prosecution, and highlighted pioneering initiatives in combating various forms of crime.
Discussions also focused on strengthening partnerships between the two sides, exchanging expertise in areas of mutual interest, and enhancing judicial, prosecutorial, and legal cooperation to improve the quality of litigation systems and ensure easier access to justice, by leveraging digital solutions and modern technologies across judicial processes.
During the visit, the ADJD delegation was briefed on Serbia’s experience in applying advanced technologies to streamline procedures and enhance service quality. Both parties further explored mechanisms for addressing emerging legal challenges in the digital age and exchanged best practices to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial procedures.
