Dubai Police Academy celebrates graduation of 95 non-commissioned officers

DUBAI (ALETIHAD)

Dubai Police Academy has celebrated the graduation of its 47th and 48th cohorts of the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Programme, with a total of 95 graduates.

The ceremony was attended by the Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic and Training Affairs, Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, and the Acting Director of Dubai Police Academy, Brigadier Nasser Hamid Al Zarri, and the Director of Cadets Affairs, Brigadier Abdulaziz Muhammad Amin Al Abdullah, along with a number of officers.

Brigadier Al Shamsi congratulated the graduates on their achievement and urged them to uphold the nation’s values across all fields, while striving to provide services that exceed expectations and bring happiness to the community.

He reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to preparing and qualifying police personnel to the highest international standards to achieve the highest levels of security and safety, enforce law and order, and ensure justice for citizens, residents, and visitors.

He also stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism, and serving as role models of good conduct, ethics, and respectful interaction with the public, reflecting the honourable image of the UAE.

The five-month NCO programme included theoretical modules covering the Penal Code, Criminal Procedures Law, Human Resources Law, human rights, occupational health and safety procedures, and disciplinary regulations.

It also featured practical training in marching, physical fitness, weapons handling and shooting, police operations, and other supporting subjects essential for police officers to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
