ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police (ADP), in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, and other partners, conducted a field security exercise at the training city in the Al Hamra area.
The aim was to assess the level of readiness in police and security operations.
Colonel Pilot Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Security Patrol Development Committee at the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, emphasised the importance of the exercise in enhancing competencies and increasing participants’ familiarity with the response system, as well as in making and implementing preventive decisions — all in line with the policy of continuous improvement and best international practices.
He explained that this exercise falls under the framework of joint exercises and is part of evaluating the level of readiness and effectiveness.
It was carried out according to approved plans, roles, and responsibilities as part of regular training, with the participation of various Abu Dhabi Police departments and partners.
He praised the teams for their cooperation in performing the exercise and executing the scenario accurately and successfully, contributing to the achievement of their objectives.
