The UAE Cybersecurity Council will host the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC Global 2025), scheduled for May 6–8.

The Council will showcase a series of transformative activities, including the International Cybersecurity Drill and Cyber Escape Room experience.

The council will also unveil the National Information Security Platform, and an award ceremony celebrating excellence in cybersecurity at the GISEC Global 2025, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

GISEC Global 2025, the Middle East’s premier cybersecurity event, will attract over 450 Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), 25,000 professionals from 160 countries, and more than 750 leading digital brands.

Under the theme “Securing an AI-Powered Future,” the 14th edition of the event will highlight the critical role of smart technologies in countering escalating digital threats.

The exhibition will feature global technology giants such as Huawei, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Cisco, alongside top cybersecurity firms including Kaspersky, Check Point, Spire Solutions, CPX, CyberKnight, LinkShadow, and CrowdStrike.

GISEC Global serves as a strategic platform to align international expertise with regional priorities, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for artificial intelligence and cybersecurity innovation.

UAE Cybersecurity Council’s participation reflects the nation’s proactive strategy to combat cyber threats, enhance community awareness, and foster a resilient cybersecurity culture through intersectoral collaboration and international cooperation.

This aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision to strengthen the country’s standing on the global digital stage and establish it as a hub of cybersecurity excellence.

Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, emphasised the critical timing of GISEC Global 2025 amid a surge in the complexity and frequency of cyber threats.

“The event coincides with a rapidly evolving digital landscape that demands unified international efforts, especially as reliance on digital systems grows across all facets of life,” he said.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti added, “As part of the UAE’s ‘Year of the Community,’ our continued partnership with GISEC Global underscores our commitment to fostering international collaboration to address cyber challenges. These include safeguarding data privacy, securing critical infrastructure, and countering sophisticated attacks through AI-driven technologies.”

The International Cybersecurity Drill, a major highlight hosted by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, will span three days and promote global cooperation to mitigate cyber threats.

With over 160 countries involved, the drill will facilitate expertise exchange among national cybersecurity centres and response teams, assess readiness to counter cyberattacks, and enhance international partnership strategies.

It will include specialised workshops, and strategic discussions with thought leaders on topics such as AI, digital defence, and modern protection strategies.

It also includes large-scale cyber exercises such as the new version of the Cyber Escape Room experience.

The Cyber Escape Room, another interactive feature, will challenge participants to analyse cyber threats and navigate simulated attack scenarios, fostering practical learning in an engaging environment.

This hands-on experience will appeal to cybersecurity professionals and enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity to test their skills and explore the latest cybersecurity innovations.

The UAE Cybersecurity Council will also unveil the National Information Security Platform, a groundbreaking initiative to streamline compliance with information security regulations.

Powered by AI, the platform enables real-time monitoring, continuous verification, and proactive security measures aligned with the UAE’s national cybersecurity policies and Information Assurance Standards.

By replacing traditional compliance processes with a user-friendly, intelligent system, it will empower UAE government entities and critical infrastructure operators to counter advanced cyber threats, positioning the UAE as a global leader in cybersecurity.

On the sidelines of GISEC Global 2025, the Council will participate in panel discussions addressing topics such as cross-border digital transformation, cyber resilience, AI-related threats (including deepfake technologies), and the use of AI in audio data analysis.

A public awareness session under the “Knowledge Hub” initiative will highlight the role of women in cyber diplomacy and governance, emphasising the importance of gender balance in cybersecurity leadership.

The Council will also host an awards ceremony recognising outstanding contributions to cybersecurity.

The “CISO of the Year” award will honour a distinguished leader, while the GCD Partner Awards will celebrate impactful partnerships in the field.

GISEC Global 2025 will solidify the UAE’s role as a global cybersecurity hub, driving innovation and collaboration to secure an AI-powered future.
