NCM issues UAE weather forecast until January 2

ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has released the weather forecast from Sunday, December 29, until Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Sunday
WEATHER: Humid by morning over some coastal areas with a probability of mist formation – fair to partly cloudy at times.
WIND: Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 30 kmph.
SEA: Slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Monday
WEATHER: Humid by morning over some internal and northern areas with a chance of fog or mist formation – fair to partly cloudy at times.
WIND: Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 30 kmph.
SEA: Slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday (New Year's Eve)
WEATHER: Fog or mist formation over some internal and coastal areas – fair to partly cloudy at times.
WIND: Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 30 kmph.
SEA: Slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday (New Year)
WEATHER: Fog or mist formation over some internal and coastal areas - fair to partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some northern and coastal areas with a probability of light rainfall. A gradual decrease in temperatures is also expected.
WIND: Light to moderate Northwesterly winds, gradually freshening by noon especially over the sea, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 40 kmph.
SEA: Slight to moderate, gradually becoming rough by noon in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.

Thursday
WEATHER: Partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some northern and eastern areas with a probability of light rainfall.
WIND: Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, and strong at times over the sea causing blowing dust inland, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 50 kmph.
SEA: Rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea.
