DUBAI (WAM)

Dubai Police announced details of the Dh1 billion Dubai Police Academy project, located in Al Ruwayyah 1.

The project was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, among a series of strategic projects for Dubai Police valued at Dh2 billion, which aim to bolster security and safety, invest in specialised police training, and enhance employee wellbeing through housing projects designed to promote family stability.

Director of Assets and Facilities Department at Dubai Police, Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Al Tamimi, revealed that construction of the state-of-the-art facility, set to accommodate 2,500 cadets, spans 155 hectares and will feature four key zones: residential housing for up to 1,200 male and female cadet officers, academic buildings, sports facilities, and a main field for police operations training, would be completed by 2027.

He said the Dubai Police Academy, which is central to the UAE’s vision of providing world-class training and development for its officers, also includes a 3.5-kilometre cycling and running track.

The complex will also house a sports zone with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, football field, and various other outdoor courts, ensuring that officers are equipped with both academic and physical training resources.
