Moderate to heavy rain hits parts of the UAE, NCM issues yellow and orange alerts

ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Moderate to heavy rain hit parts of the UAE on October 19, Saturday, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

NCM posted yellow and orange weather alerts today as various areas of Abu Dhabi emirate witnessed rains of varying intensities, including Al Ain City and Al Dhafra region.

Abu Dhabi Police urged the public to exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

The public was also advised to avoid valleys, carry first aid kits and prepare alternative light sources, according to an alert issued by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on October 18 and 19.

According to NCM's weather forecast, the country will experience rainy, windy and foggy conditions in the coming days.
