Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, attended a reception hosted on Tuesday by the Egyptian Embassy in the UAE to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the 23rd July Revolution.
The ceremony, held at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi, was attended by Sharif Mahmoud Said Eissa, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE; and a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to the UAE and Egyptian citizens residing in the UAE.
The ambassador said,'' The United Arab Emirates has proven over the past decades the strength of its relations with Egypt, and its solidarity with the Egyptian people in all critical moments.''
"The past few months have witnessed a series of high-level reciprocal visits and coordination meetings at various levels and sectors, which resulted in the announcement of major cooperation initiatives, in addition to the unprecedented growth in the volume of direct Emirati investments in Egypt that reach nearly $70 billion, making the UAE the top investor in Egypt, alongside the growth in the volume of bilateral trade which reaches more than $4 billion annually,'' he added.
