Known for hosting international conferences, exhibitions, and events, Abu Dhabi is gearing up for another round of activity in the second quarter of 2024, strengthening the emirate’s position as a preferred global tourist destination.
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), which will host many of the events on the agenda, recently released the schedule of conferences, exhibitions, and events to be held in April, May and June of 2024, covering various events in the economic, medical, security, and sports fields.
Events in AprilThe World Future Energy Summit 2024 is considered one of the most prominent conferences in the industry. Organised by the ADNEC Centre and hosted by Masdar Company, the summit will be held from April 16 to 18.
The summit complements the firm commitment of COP28 to provide more than $85 billion in climate action financing by providing a platform that brings together sector leaders, policy makers, and business incubators with the aim of accelerating efforts to build an advanced future.
In the same period, ADNEC will host the Paper & Tissue Exhibition 2024, the first international paper exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa since 2007.
The exhibition will provide an opportunity for those interested in the paper and tissue trade to learn about the latest technology used in manufacturing.
Starting April 22, ADNEC will host the two-day UAE Skills National Competition 2024, a competition where Emirati youth will compete in various handicraft and technology contests.
Events in MayMay 2024 holds several events and conferences related to investment and economic activity, among the most prominent of which is the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), which will start on May 7.
AIM will focus on modern trends in light of the digital transformation witnessed by both developed and developing economies. The meeting will also host debate sessions and workshops to anticipate future cities and ways to use innovative technologies to deal with growth requirements.
ADNEC will also witness the activities of Abu Dhabi International Healthcare Week 2024, which will begin on May 13 under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council.
On May 21, the International Security National Resilience (ISNR) event will begin under the patronage of Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The ISNR provides a unique platform that connects regional government bodies with security solution providers from all over the world.
Events in June Shifting to June, ADNEC will host Zayed University’s (ZU) graduation ceremonies from June 4-6, allowing students to look back at their hard work and achievements.
On June 10, ADNEC will host Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2024, a seasonal indoor sports space for the summer season.
The sports hub includes more than 25 indoor tracks, 27 courts, and 8 sports over a 27,205 air-conditioned space. The whole family is welcome to enjoy the sports space, which is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
