TALAH TURK (ABU DHABI)

Located in the heart of Khalifa University (KU) in Abu Dhabi is a treasure trove of human anatomy that transcends the ordinary. Behind the doors of the Body Museum, a captivating journey into the intricate layers of the human body awaits, seamlessly blending the realms of science and art.

Upon arriving at the entrance, visitors are immediately captivated by a showstopping display of bright red barrels representing the astonishing amount of blood a human heart pumps in a single day. The creative installation serves as a reminder of the awe-inspiring machinery that keeps us alive.

More than a hundred donated human specimens, meticulously preserved through plastination, fill the museum's halls. The experience feels akin to wandering through an art gallery and attending a biology class simultaneously, appealing to both the artistically inclined and the science enthusiasts.

Catering to all types of museumgoers, the museum provides detailed explanations for those craving a deep dive into the intricacies of the human body. It also offers fun facts and easily digestible information for those seeking a lighter exploration.

One Layer at a Time

Walking through the exhibit feels like peeling back layers and delving into the mysteries and wonders of the human body. From various angles, visitors explore the significance and roles of different body parts, gaining insight into the well-oiled machine that is the human body.

The Body Museum serves as a reminder to ditch bad habits and opt for healthier choices, by showcasing the tangible differences between healthy and unhealthy living. This instils a deeper understanding of the impact of poor choices on physical well-being.

Displaying a quote by Ibn Sina in bold letters and a large font that reads, "The human body is the best work of art," serves as a reminder to appreciate the complexity and resilience of the human body, highlighting the need to take care of it.

Inspiring Tomorrow's World-Class Medical Practitioners

As a not-for-profit institution, the museum opens its doors to the public free of charge, inviting exploration of the muscular, nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, excretory, skeletal, and reproductive systems.

Painting a comprehensive picture of human anatomy, the museum is a catalyst for inspiring and aspiring healthcare professionals, poised to propel the UAE to the forefront of global advancements in medical sciences.
