The Family Development Foundation (FDF) recently hosted a series of workshops at the Jebel Hafeet Community Centre in Al Ain, as part of the Women and Family Social Empowerment Club.
These workshops were designed to highlight the vital role of women in society and empower them to become successful entrepreneurs, fostering financial independence. The primary goal was to equip women with the knowledge and skills necessary to establish their own businesses, as well as develop resilience and confidence in navigating challenges.
Khawla Al Dhaheri, the Programmes and Events Coordinator at FDF, commented saying, “The Family Development Foundation offers a variety of workshops for women empowerment. These are part of the Entrepreneurship Excellence service and include How to Choose Your Business workshop, Develop Entrepreneurial Skills, How to Start Your Business, Strategies and Techniques for Business Management, Key to Success: Creativity in Marketing, and Business Values and Moving towards Development.”
She explained that “Through such workshops, we seek to transform their innovative ideas into profitable ventures that have a larger beneficial influence on society by expanding and improving their knowledge and leadership abilities.”
The Women and Family Social Empowerment Club seeks to empower families by imparting social skills, encouraging positive thinking, adapting to diverse living conditions, and enhancing overall well-being. The club places a special focus on empowering women in various aspects of life, increasing legal knowledge to educate them about their rights and obligations, fostering self-confidence, and facilitating self-growth.
To create an inspiring environment for families, the club promotes community engagement, positivity, values of volunteering, and environmental sustainability for enduring family dynamics. The Jebel Hafeet Community Centre is dedicated to offering diverse services, programmes, events, and activities for families, aligning with FDF's commitment to creating a social environment that encourages communication and provides a safe space for families and communities.
The FDF, in its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the community, actively monitors societal needs, and aims to improve the quality of life for community members.
