Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) and Al Ain Summer Sports (AASS), two of the Middle East's largest indoor summer sports events, are set to return for their highly anticipated fifth and fourth editions, respectively.

Taking place at the ADNEC Centres Abu Dhabi and ADNEC Centre Al Ain, these events support the UAE’s vision of establishing Abu Dhabi and Al Ain as year-round destinations for sports, health, and community living.

Organised by the ADNEC Group in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and ADNOC, ADSS 2026 will be the largest edition in the event’s history, running from June 6 to August 23, 2026.

The fourth edition of AASS will take place at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain from June 10 to August 19, 2026 with this year’s events offering an expanded range of activities, including additional sports, specialised training programmes, and professional workshops designed to enhance sports skills, improve fitness levels, and promote personal growth.

ADSS 2026 introduces 10 new sports, including e-gaming, VR/AR, judo, boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, handball, pickleball, and cycling.

These exciting additions join a lineup of popular returning sports, now with expanded facilities, including additional fields, courts, and pitches for football, basketball, padel, running, badminton, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, cricket, chess, fitness, and an obstacle course.

Designed to bring communities and family together under the spirit of togetherness and active living, in line with the UAE Year of Family initiative, ADSS and AASS offer fully air-conditioned, world-class facilities for a wide range of sports and fitness activities, catering to participants of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.

Building on the events’ sustained growth trajectory, the 2026 edition will feature a diverse range of activities and experiences, from competitive tournaments and fitness zones to dedicated family areas, children's camps, and an innovative Community Village, designed to engage a broader audience of residents and families and support the UAE’s vision of fostering a healthier and more active society.

Dedicated themed days, including International Yoga Day, Emirati Women's Day, International Chess Day, and Emirati Seniors Day, will further expand the programme's community reach.

Additionally, the 2026 edition will introduce several zones designed to inspire personal growth and holistic well-being, including the Community Zone, Club and Activation Zone, and Wellness and Educational Zones.

The event will also feature a range of culture and heritage-focused activations, celebrating Abu Dhabi’s identity, creativity, tradition, and community spirit.
