The Abu Dhabi Ladies Fishing Championship is set to kick off on Saturday (January 10) as part of the activities of the Abu Dhabi Marine Festival 2026, organised by Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club in cooperation with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.
The championship will take place at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater and represents the first round of the competition, with wide participation from female anglers. The event reflects the growing interest in expanding women’s participation in marine sports and strengthening their presence in this field.
The organising committee confirmed that the championship is open to the public and aims to promote environmental sustainability concepts, spread awareness of responsible fishing practices, and highlight the community and sporting dimensions of marine events hosted by Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Ladies Fishing Championship is part of the Abu Dhabi Marine Festival 2026 agenda, which features a series of diverse marine championships and activities, within a comprehensive vision to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a global destination for marine sports and sports tourism.
